Data sources and provenance
- 5 CFR chapters I, IV and XXXV (OPM) from the eCFR API, with each section's amendment history. Prior versions are retrieved as of the relevant date for citation review.
- Title 5 of the U.S. Code from govinfo, 2024 annual edition (current through January 6, 2025). Sections amended by laws enacted since then are flagged with the amending law; the text shown may not reflect those amendments.
- OPM Federal Register documents from the Federal Register API: all final and proposed rules, and other documents since 2017.
- Executive orders and presidential memoranda that mention OPM, since January 2017.
- Memoranda to agency Chief Human Capital Officers from opm.gov/chcoc, extracted from the published PDFs.
