§ 919.1005 State

5 CFR 919.1005(a)(a) State means—

5 CFR 919.1005(a)(1)(1) Any of the states of the United States;

5 CFR 919.1005(a)(2)(2) The District of Columbia;

5 CFR 919.1005(a)(3)(3) The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico;

5 CFR 919.1005(a)(4)(4) Any territory or possession of the United States; or

5 CFR 919.1005(a)(5)(5) Any agency or instrumentality of a state.

5 CFR 919.1005(b)(b) For purposes of this part, State does not include institutions of higher education, hospitals, or units of local government.
